Afitos, is the perfect base to explore Kassandra, the first peninsula of Halkidiki. The most beautiful spot in the area, this unspoilt village offers the opportunity to visit the surrounding beaches. Afitos has an abundance of typical Greek restaurants. The main street has stunning views over the water and is an idyllic spot for lunch to avoid the evening crowds and appreciate the views. Just off this main track, in the village itself, there are plenty of restaurant choices at a more reasonable price that are less overwhelmed with outside visitors.

1. Sousourada - A lovely, small restaurant with a very friendly owner. Delicious flavours and slightly alternative dishes to the more typical Greek restaurants in the village. Booking highly recommended.
2. Soboro Beer Bar and Restaurant - A restaurant serving typical Greek cuisine including dishes with interesting flavour combinations and variations on the more traditional dishes.
3. Strouboulis Taverna - A classic Greek seafood restaurant.
4. Exohiko Fish Tavern - Ideal for mezze style lunch. Friendly staff and stunning day-time views over the sea.
5. To Kyma - This restaurant is situated just off Afitos beach outside of the town centre. It serves big portions of high quality Greek cuisine.
